he Your New Beginning (YNB) 8 Week Challenge registration period commences on 25th March 2019. You can register anytime after this until otherwise notified.
To enter the challenge, participants must commit to 8 weeks minimum of training with one of our Personal Trainers. The fee to join the challenge is $49.95 made payable to the Site not the Personal Trainer. Any extra costs related to the challenge such as Body Scans are optional for the participant. Participants will participate (at cost paid to the Personal Trainer) in weekly assisted training during the duration of the challenge: 1 x 1:1 Personal Training Session per week.
Your Registration will give you access to a YNB 8-Week Challenge app and online nutrition portal, 8 weeks of eating plans, selected merchandise, expert support and nutrition tips over the duration of the challenge.
Participants must be a member of their local centre (local club membership) for the duration of the challenge and at the time of the National Prize Selection to have the opportunity to win. Local club membership includes full access to the health club and group fitness classes during opening hours.
Minimum cost for a facility membership and weekly 1:1 personal training for the duration of the challenge is approximately $779.40 (Depending on location this amount may vary. Check with your local facility for further details).
All participants are to meet the minimum criteria of the YNB 8-Week Challenge to be eligible to claim
- Attendance of at least one 30 minute personal training session per week (this can be a one on one session or a small group session if available)
- Attendance at measurement sessions at your local facility (initial, mid challenge and final measurements at week 8)
- Submit a 250 word essay or video submission at the conclusion of the challenge to the local facility in writing in hardcopy or via email by within 7 days of finishing the challenge
Agree to be identified, share content from their essay, and cooperate as reasonably possible with media for interviews and photo opportunities, in the event they are a club winner, national winner or runner up, or opt out of media by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org when they begin the challenge.
National winners must be available and take part in a professional promotional video organised by Belgravia Health Clubs in Melbourne on a date agreed by both parties, and agree to their image and story being used for future fitness promotions by Belgravia Health Clubs. Airfares, accommodation and transport will be arranged at no cost to the winner, where necessary.
If you are unable to attend the first measurements date, a subsequent date will be rescheduled at the convenience of the facilities Fitness Manager to ensure your measurements are recorded for appropriate tracking.
The YNB 8-Week Challenge consists of the following prizes:
Club winner – 1:1PT stream
- 12-month local club membership award to the best male and female transformation within each local facility or Prize dictated by the local facility. Announcement of the local prize to be made before the challenge starts.
- $2500 awarded to the best national male and best national female transformation.
Facility winners will be announced by April 14th and October 14th each year.
National winners and runners up will be announced on April 21st and October 21st each year.
A judging panel of a three people will be formed in each participating site to judge the club winners. This judging panel will comprised from the following staff: Facility Manager, Regional Business Manager, Fitness/PT Manager, Regional Fitness Manager.
All nominated facility/ club winners will go into the running to be one of the national winners selected by a judging panel of three people.
As individuals differ, so do their results, even when using the same program. Consequently, all judge’s decisions are final and at their discretion.
CHALLENGE PRIZE CRITERIA
Facility/ club and National winners will be judged on the following criteria to determine the best
transformations at the conclusion of the 8 weeks:
Post Challenge written report or video (30% of overall rating)
At the conclusion of the challenge, each competitor submits a written report or video submission
outlining the benefits they have received from completing the challenge in relation to their original
goals, including how it has changed their life.
Before and after photos (40% of overall rating)
Physical changes that have occurred visually. All photos must be taken as per the criteria provided to
Measurements (30% of overall rating)
Measurements must be completed at the beginning, midpoint and completion of the challenge by
one of the official judging staff.
It is required that all policies, procedures and judging criteria are followed to maintain the highest level of success for members and fairness in judging. Rules and regulations of the judging criteria must be followed or there may be a reason for disqualification from judging which shall be at Belgravia Health’s discretion. Rule interpretations and all judging decisions by Belgravia Health Clubs are final. Accepting the terms and conditions upon registration in the YNB 8-Week Challenge constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this contract including its rules, regulations, policies and registration.
Belgravia Health Clubs Support Office and your local facility reserve the right to interpret the judging criteria and their application as they see fit. The rules and regulations must be followed or the participant may be disqualified from the competition.
Staff may participate in the challenge but are not eligible to win any of the member prizes.
Participants must not use banned supplements or products or performance enhancing drugs unless prescribed by a physician for a medical condition. The use of any illegal performance enhancing substances is strictly prohibited. All finalists who qualify for the national prize may be, on request required to submit a urine sample for testing. Failure to comply with this request or failure of a test will result in immediate disqualification. Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Every participant must complete a medical history form for the challenge, and if required, obtain medical clearance from your general practitioner prior to and during the challenge. Your trainer will give you a medical history form at your initial session.
All information and materials submitted by entrants into the YNB 8-Week Challenge become the sole and exclusive property of Belgravia Leisure and your local facility and entry is conditional on this basis. The individuals chosen to be featured in promotional and marketing material are selected to demonstrate they have achieved extraordinary results. Their photos represent examples of what can be achieved through a systematic application of exercise, nutrition and goal setting.

To the maximum extent permitted by law your local facility and Belgravia Leisure (including its officers, employees and agents) exclude any liability (including negligence) for any injury, damage or loss of any kind whatsoever sustained by anyone arising from participating in these exercises.
Where your facility is concerned with the ability of a person to safely participate in the challenge it reserves the right to refuse to allow that person to participate without first gaining a medical certificate indicating the person’s condition is suitable for the challenge.
